The training program is a Three months Pre-Sea Training Program approved by the Liberian International Ship and Corporate Registry, the Republic of Liberia The training comprises of theoretical and practical study of General Ship Knowledge and Marine Engineering Knowledge which allows successful trainees to join the merchant shipping in the Deck or Engineering Department as a Navigation or Engine Watch Rating. The approved course capacity of this Academy is 40 trainees per batch.
3 Months
Pass with aggregate 40% marks in 10th Standard from a recognized Board with Science, Mathematics as subjects and with minimum 40% marks in the English language.
Pass in 2-Year I.T.I. course from Govt. Approved Institute with minimum 50% aggregate marks in final year and minimum 40% marks in English at 10th or Diploma Exam.

The candidate aspiring to join this course should be within the above age limit on the date of course commencement.
Medical and Eye-sight requirements shall be as per the existing standards of ILO. 6/6 Vision with no colour blindness. No speech impairment (disorder).
Every trainee will have to undergo and produce a Medical Fitness certificate issued by ILO approved Doctor.
The admissions to this course are directly done by the Academy through an Entrance Test comprising Written and Physical Fitness Tests followed by an interview. This Academy conducts internal examinations during training to gauge the progress of trainees.
The final examinations are conducted by the Academy and the trainee has to secure a minimum of 60% in each of the parts to Qualify. The assessment sheets of all trainees are retained for audit by LISCR.

CAAMN shall provide courseware and teaching material for the training. All trainees are provided an additional stationery kit.

- Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC)
Deck/Engine Rating is trained in Deck or Engine Room duties. They can be employed in their area of specialization such as Deck or Engine department according to the needs of the company. Ratings work on the ship involves seamanship activities, cargo handling, maintenance work, operation, and maintenance of machinery.

The cost of six months Pre-Sea Training is Rs.150,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Fifty Thousand Only). The fee is subject to change at the discretion of the management and fee paid is not refundable under any circumstances.
